About This Webinar
This webinar addresses the critical issue of suicidality in patients with epilepsy, highlighting the high prevalence of suicidal ideation, attempts, and completions among this population. It aims to equip healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills to recognize and manage suicidality in epilepsy patients effectively. The session will cover the prevalence, risk factors, and management strategies, emphasizing the need for regular screening and a multidisciplinary approach to care.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  1. Identify the prevalence and risk factors of suicidality in patients with epilepsy.
  2. Develop competence in using screening tools for detecting suicidality in epilepsy patients.
  3. Implement evidence-based strategies for managing suicidality in clinical practice.
  4. Understand the relationship between epilepsy characteristics and increased suicide risk.
  5. Develop a comprehensive care plan involving multidisciplinary collaboration for patients at risk of suicide.
