2025 Epilepsy Fellowship In Training Exam
Provided by the American Epilepsy Society (AES)
Exam testing window: March 12, 2025 - March 19, 2025
Overview:
The AES Epilepsy Fellowship In-service Training Examination (EpiFITE) is an epilepsy-specific examination which will enable program directors and fellows to determine if there are specific areas where more study and experience are needed.
This activity consists of 110 questions that test the learner’s knowledge and competence on epilepsy treatment. The exam is estimated to take 3 hours to complete, but anticipated average completion is 2 hours. Please allow enough time to take the exam in a single session. This is meant to be a “low-stakes” examination to highlight opportunities for epilepsy fellows’ growth.
Objectives:
- Assess trainee knowledge of epilepsy treatment
- Identify areas for growth
- Benchmark performance to peers nationally
Exam ReportsAs fellows complete the exam, they have the option to download a report with the discussion and references for any incorrect questions they selected. Fellows can download this in PDF or email it to themselves.
The Program Contact will receive an email from AES with instructions on how to download an electronic diagnostic report from the system for all their fellows by
April 2, 2025. The report highlights how the fellows scored in topic areas, a score report for their program, and compare how their program compared to other programs.
